“Pushing thru’ the market square”
Exactly fifty years ago, give or take an hour or two, approximately 700 concertgoers were making their way home having witnessed the shock of the new that was David Bowie’s latest creation.
Generally considered a warm-up for the shows on the horizon, the sold-out gig at Borough Assembly Hall in Aylesbury Market Square on 29th January 1972 was the chosen moment to unveil the sight and sound of Ziggy Stardust.
But, just for a change, we’ll let a few others do the talking. Over to some people who were actually there on the night.
