There have been several reports and rumors about a live web broadcast 7th December 1999. Let us add some clarity to the situation.
Friday, November 19th, David Bowie will be performing an exclusive live show at New York's Kit Kat Club. This concert is a private concert being attended by fans that have won a coveted ticket from radio stations as well as sources such as VH-1 and BowieNet.
The Kit Kat Club show will be recorded, and then re-broadcasted as both a radio show and Internet cybercast. The Radio show will go out to over 100 National Radio Affiliates. Over 35 syndicated Internet partners will carry the cybercast. The list of radio stations broadcasting the show will be posted next week.
The December 7th web and radio event(s) are scheduled for 10pm (Eastern and Pacific) and are sponsored by the American Express Blue Concert Series (http://www.blueconcerts.com). The cybercast will be sent out via Quicktime 4.0 and Windows Media Player. You will be able to view this special event on BowieNet, but make sure you download one of the above players.
We hope this explains the recent rumors.
