Mark And Lard's Bbc Radio One
Bowie and his band appeared yesterday (October 25th) on the Mark and Lard Radio One show. There was a 5-7 minute interview with David in which he said that 'Survive' would be the next single released in the UK. Bowie's appearance was accompanied with the performance of five songs:
1. Survive
2. Drive In Saturday
3. Something In The Air
4. Can't Help Thinking About Me
5. Repetition
Artists normally get 3 only songs on the show, so 4 was a tip of the hat to Bowie, and 5 was a credit to Bowie's loyalty to his fans (he apparently had to do some smooth talking to squeeze a fifth song onto the show).

The Nomad Soul Previews
Get your Surround-Sound ready, BowieVR is coming! Here are some game reviews and snippets about "The Nomad Soul," which is due out this November.
Question: What's it like to work with Bowie? Answer: We ended up with a totally original soundtrack, gaming;s craziest virtual concerts, tons of motion-captured dialog, AND the world's most beautiful beautiful wife.
Question: Answer: Question: Answer: Question: Answer: "Eidos has released a new movie (20Mbs) is which you can see David Bowie virtually live in an all new Omikron: The Nomad Soul Virtual Concert. (Publisher's Note: Fantastic track! If you are a fan of Bowie, this is a must!)"
"Yes, following his Internet dabblings, the Thin White Duke has launched himself headlong into the wonderful and frightening world of video games... Bowie provides all the game's music, in conjunctionwith Tin Machine co-founder Reeves Gabrel. Bowiealso appears in the game, both as a key characternamed Boz, and as the lead singer of an in-gameband called The Dreamers, whose virtual concerts itis possible to attend."
"On top of all this is the music of David Bowie and Reeves Gabrels... ...and we're not talking just soundtrack, either. 'There's even a spot ot two where you can grab a concert of the Dreamers, featuring 3D-modeled versions of David Bowie and Reeves Gabrels.'"
"The soundtrack is equally noteworthy. In an attempt to both create an unearthly musical environment and maximize the mass-market potential of the game, the creators of The Nomad Soul, French developer Quantic Dreams, went straight to the top-perennial rock star David Bowie... The team quickly found themselves talked into an entirely new collection of music by a very enthusiastic Bowie... The former Ziggy Stardust also appears in the game as a digitized freedom fighter.
"...'Omicron' has plenty of original aspects that should set it apart from illustrious competition... Not the least of these features is a soundtrack by the original sci-fi rocker, David Bowie."
[to senior game designer Philip Campbell]
The News segment of Incite Games Online has a short interview with Bowie about his involvement in the game:
"Are you computer literate?"
"I was the first artist to take computers on the road in the '80s, I've been working on the Internet for two yars now, and I've been producing art on the computer since 1994. I can mouse about."
"Many computer games' soundtracks seem thrown together. How did you take that into account?"
"We spent some time [with the game developers] understanding the depth of the game. We got to know the characters intimately."
"Are computer games something you've wanted to get involved with for a long time? And why this one?"
"They said we could work our way. We've turned doen three previous offers beacause we didn't have that freedom. With other offers people had preconceived notions of the music. I had to do it my way."
"...I can't forget to mention the fact it plays an equally worthy theme song co-written by the legendary and very hip, David Bowie (I restarted the game just so I could listen to the song again)."

'hours...' Review In Irish Tv-guide
Another 'hours...' review in the magazine stacks. This one gave 3stars.
He's wearing sandals on the back cover forchrissakes! There are three gorgeous tracks here, majestic slow-burners Thursday's Child, Survive and Seven...
As an attempt to recapture the poetry and mystery of yore(Hunky Dory is a touchstone) it's worthwhile and who wouldn't get achill hearing Bowie intone "Beatle boys all snowy white" as he does onSurvive? Superior to most old hoofers of Bowie's vintage who shouldhave given up years ago (hello Tom Jones).

Rare Space Oddity Single
This rare "Space Oddity" single could be worth up to £125 in the UK. Here is the description given in MOJO Magazine:
Basically an elongated single, this release, fast approaching the value of Elgin Marbles (well, nearly!), attracts attention not only for its garish sleeve, but also for the fact that the version of Space Oddity is the one stemming from the original video.
There's not much else aboard - unless you want to add Laughing Gnome and Rubber Band to your collection yet again. But perhas the legend "compiled by a Scary Monster and created by a Supercreep" might prove inviting.

Here is anexcerpt:
Light years from Ziggy Stardust, Mr. Bowie settles comfortably intotheshow's format, an informal and-then-I-wrote monologue punctuated withsongsthat recall a few phases of his varied 30-year career.

Bowie Halloween Mask
- A portrait of Bowie appears on the cover of Flaunt magazine's October issue. But this is not just any portrait, nor is it just any cover.
It is a self-portrait, AND it is a cut-out to be used as a mask for Halloween (complete with different size eye-holes). Truly gives new meaning to the phrase "Trick-or-Treat"!
