The October issue of the German music magazine "Musikexpress/Sounds" has a 5-page article on David Bowie. The article is written by Jerome Soligny.
After the song, Bowie joined Letterman for a brief interview. Letterman immediately asked Bowie about "Bowie Bonds," and then surprised Bowie by pulling out several well know Mick Rock photos from the Ziggy Stardust period, and asked Bowie to comment.
Bowie described one photo as his exploration of "Glam Buddhism" and then hinted about future theatrical/film projects involving "Ziggy Stardust."
Due to illness, all public promotional activities for October 5th and 6th have been canceled.Unfortunately, this includes this mornings appearance on the Howard Stern Show as well as tonight's scheduled chat on Yahoo.David hopes to re-schedule both of these events soon.
The article, entitled "Turning to face the change" takes a historical look at Bowie's Travels in Cyber-Space.
A rebel's rebel, Bowie is leading a charge into cyberspace as technophobes, including many of his colleagues, recoil, fearing such fallout as rampant piracy.
You can read the entire article by clicking here.
The video short is a promotional piece for use throughout the US and European markets.
Here is avideo preview of 4 different versions (:20, :15, :10, and :05 seconds) for you to to view.
Local stations will do voice-overs (in the appropriate language) for different overseas markets.

Tuesday, October 5th Bowie will join Howard Stern for the morning drive time slot. Bowie IS expected to throw down a few songs while he is there!
Bowie has met Howard once at the Stern1998 Birthday Party, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Bowie Played Fame, Hallo Spaceboy, and I'm Afraid of Americans. This will be Bowie's first "guest spot" on the Stern Show.
Topics will range from Bowie's legendary music career, his cutting edge Internet passion BowieNet (wink wink), his new album "Hours..." and his controversial online art exhibition SENSATION.
BowieNet members are encouraged to join in the Yahoo chat, and can expect a little something extra. More details next week.
Advertising firm McCann-Erickson is using Bowie's "Heroes" in TV and radio spots to promote the new insurance company CGU.
The ad (using slightly accelerated version of the song) illustrates how the everyday person can be a hero by taking responsibility for their families and loved one's. The ad began airing on September 25th throughout the UK.
Join David as your master of ceremony for this exclusive virtual opening of the controversial art exhibit, "Sensation: Young British Artists From The Saatchi Collection."
"Sensation represents some of the best, worst but definitely most extreme of the high profile work to have come out of Britain in the last ten years or so," - David Bowie.
This first-ever Internet display of "Sensation" offers an insider's view of this talked-about exhibit. All 141 pieces will be on virtual display, complete with artist biographies/photos and David Bowie's descriptions of many pieces under scrutiny.
'Bowie continues to work at the height of his powers...scouring the emotional depths of his generation's current state in ways his contempories rarely do...and it's simply amazing how he still impresses.'
Oh yes!!
Don't forget to catch David Bowie LIVE tonight on Saturday Night Live!
Gil Kaufman met up with David Bowie in New York recently to talk about Bowie's new album, 'hours ...', the shocking music video for the first single, "Thursday's Child," and acting!
Here is an excerpt:
Bowie: The next [musical project] will very definitely be with Tony Visconti, which is what we've been talking about for a year now. But I had to get this one done. I think Tony and I are very excited because we don't know what it's gonna be like.
I will put it back into the experimental mode again, I think. But who knows? Maybe I'll also craft some songs or write some songs as well. I might try both methods. I've got so many different processes of accomplishing an album now that it makes it really interesting going into the studio because I never quite know which of those writing methods I'll use.

Here is a review of "Hours..." from the October 11th People Magazine.
Hours?
David Bowie (Virgin)
During his 52 years, Bowie has been known to take a misstep or two. He once starred in a mime troupe, and his 1987 Glass Spiders tour was a tangled mess. So it seems highly probable, then, that this techno-tinged album would turn out to be another sad attempt by an aging rocker to be trendy.
Surprise: Rather than dabbling in the esoteric of pop's outer electronic edge, Bowie surfs it with aplomb. Where others toy awkwardly with studio effects, Bowie marshals them in service of a new batch of winning songs, including standouts like "Survive" and "The Pretty Things are Going to Hell," that will shine among his trove of rock classics. ? SD
Bottom Line: Rock's king of cool adds to his luster.
