Bowie In The Press
- A series of intervews and articles on Bowie can curently be found on the newsstands. Here is a brief sampling:
Still ch-changing
ACCORDING to David Bowie's business manager, the pale, skinny Englishman who first strutted on to the world stage in the early 1970s, resplendent in platform heels, feather boa and futuristic make-up, now "lies in bed awake every night imagining what tomorrow might bring. If there is anything new, interesting or daring out there he wants to be the first to try it." Read the entire Economist article here.
Read the entire time out article here.
David Bowie's one of those people you travel to meet knowing that whatever agenda you have - perhaps to talk about his records, his images, his imaginings he'll unwittingly all but scupper it with a carpet-bombing charm offensive and voracious intellect. Read the entire article.
'Q' is a virtual Bowiefest this month!
There is an in depth interview, relating to the release of'hours...' What is interesting is that the interviewer has obviously done his research largely by accessing BowieNet.Some great new photos too.

Making Hours Pt 3
- Back in July we bought you some home movies taken live from the studio. Here is the third posting from that day.
Again, no documentary work here, but we thought you might like to have a look into the studio during the making of the "Hours..."
While playing around with the song "Seven" from the forthcoming "Hours..." album, Mark Plati tried a variation of the track that got everyone's attention in the studio.
So here it is:
Bowie's Beckham Look
- Interesting that the UK SUN newspaper compares the new Bowie look to Wunder footballer David Beckham (DB?).
When Beckham started wearing Indonesian Sarongs a while ago they weren't so fast to point out that Bowie has been wearing them in down-time for almost 20 years!!
Hungry? Well, Mabe A Snack
- Bowie gets best honors in 'iffy' review of The Hunger in the LA Weekly, like this:-
Bowie acts as compere and stars, under Scott's direction, in the first of its three episodes -- a not entirely predictable mix of Performance and A Bucket of Blood -- as a kind of washed-out combo of Damien Hirst and Chris Burden, and his I'm-still-a-good-looking-rock-star vibe and relaxed delivery are, apart of course from the customary gratuitous nudity, the best thing about the show; he's for sure the only one who looks to be having any fun at all.
